III — Standards

How coaches are verified.

The Coaching Registry was created to help individuals distinguish between verified, credentialed coaches and unverified self-identification online.

Read the verification process
Accredited training
Coaches must have completed a recognized, accredited professional coaching program, or be actively enrolled in one.
Credentials reviewed by hand
Professional credentials are verified manually against the issuing body — never automated.
Verified profiles
We confirm the training institution, credential level, and identity before a profile is marked Verified.
In-progress credentials are tracked
Coaches on the Credential In Progress pathway must provide an anticipated completion date, monitored on an ongoing basis.

A small, considered selection.

Verified coaches will appear here as they join The Coaching Registry.

V — For coaches

Founding 200 Coaches.

We are inviting the first 200 credentialed professional coaches to join The Coaching Registry as Founding Members — with a complimentary first-year listing, a Verified profile, and a permanent Founding Coach designation.

This is not an open listing platform. Coaches must hold a recognized professional credential, or be actively enrolled in an accredited training pathway toward one.

VI — Common questions

Plainly answered.

Is The Coaching Registry free for people seeking a coach?
Yes — entirely free. We don't charge seekers, and we never sell your information to coaches.
How are coaches verified?
Coaches submit credential documents, certifications, and professional links. Our team reviews each submission by hand and confirms credentials with the issuing body before a profile is marked Verified.
Do coaches pay to be listed?
Coaches pay a modest annual fee to maintain their profile, which funds verification. Payment never affects placement, ranking, or visibility.
Is coaching a substitute for therapy?
No. Coaching is non-clinical and forward-focused. If you are dealing with a mental health condition, please consult a licensed therapist or physician first.

A trusted place, built by people who care whether you find the right coach.

The Coaching Registry exists to make finding a coach more transparent. Every profile is reviewed against published verification standards so you can search with greater confidence—not just more choices.
